The third and final episode of The Great War, written and directed by Rob Rapley, draws on unpublished diaries, memoirs and letters, to tell the rich and complex stories of African-American soldiers, Native American 'code talkers' and others whose participation in the war to 'make the world safe for democracy' has been largely forgotten.
